Intimate Spring Wedding at Petit Jean Mountain

Welcome to Jasmine & Sean’s intimate wedding at Petit Jean Mountain, one of the best mountain wedding locations in Arkansas. This day was filled with smiles, happiness, and joy. We had been eagerly anticipating this day since Jasmine & Sean reached out about capturing their engagement photos.

The beautiful setting of Petit Jean did not disappoint, providing a stunning backdrop for their special day.

Getting Ready for the Big Day

Getting ready The bride at a cabin nearby

Haven spent the morning with Jasmine and her close family, capturing heartfelt moments as she prepared for her wedding day.

Getting ready with Groom at Mather Lodge

While Haven was with the bride, I headed over to Mather Lodge to photograph Sean getting ready, including a touching moment when his sister braided his hair.

The Advantages of a Husband and Wife Wedding Photography Duo

This is one of the reasons why I love being a husband and wife wedding photography duo. We both get to double team the day and capture the moments that might have been missed if there was only one of us.

Why you should choose to have your wedding at Petit Jean

The picturesque overlooks

Some of our favorite photos in our portfolio come from different weddings and elopements that we have photographed at Petit Jean. The overlooks are by far the best places to get married at on Petit Jean. For more info on the 3 major overlooks at Petit Jean, scroll down!

Affordable Venue Options

Compared to the ever rising costs of renting a wedding venue, Arkansas State Parks stand out as some of the most affordable places to tie-the-knot. For just a small fee you can rent out one of the overlooks and have your wedding there.

It’s not too far from some of the major cities in the state.

Petit Jean is just over an hour and fifteen minutes from Little Rock and about two and a half hours from Fayetteville, making it an ideal mountain wedding location in Arkansas.

First Looks

First look with father of the bride

Jasmine wanted to do first look with her dad before she did her first look with her groom-to-be. This was a super sweet moment Haven got to capture before we loaded up and headed to bear cave trail to get photos of Jasmine and Sean’s first look.

First look at bear cave trail

This first look was so intimate and sweet. You could feel the joy and excitement in the air when Sean turned around to see his bride for the first time that day.

We also got some great couples photos while we were there.

Ceremony Locations at Petit Jean

Mather Lodge

Mather Lodge is probably the most popular overlook at Petit Jean. It’s right next to the main trail that leads to cedar falls. Only a few couples that we know of have booked it for their wedding day.

CCC Overlook

This is where Jasmine & Sean decided to get married. We took lots of their engagement photos here and those definitely didn’t disappoint. This is more of a private overlook that doesn’t get as much traffic as the other two. If you’re looking for a sunset ceremony location at Petit Jean, this is your spot.

Stouts Point

Stouts point is the point that made Petit Jean famous. It’s also the location where the mountain got its name. You can find out more about how that happened when you visit. We’re here to talk about happy things haha!

If you’re looking to getting married during the mid-morning to mid-afternoon, this is the spot we recommend.

What about eloping?

Curious about what eloping looks like at Petit Jean? Click here to see our post about an elopement we captured last fall at Stout’s Point.

Ceremony

A short, but very sweet ceremony was held at the CCC overlook for Jasmine & Sean’s wedding. That’s exactly how they wanted it, too.

There was not a dry eye in the house when the ceremony began. You could feel the love and support coming from their family as they said their personal vows.

Reception

Fun time with family

Receptions are different in the best way at an intimate wedding. It’s usually a great time for the close family on both sides to get together and enjoy each other’s company to celebrate the marriage of their people.

We had a great time getting to photograph some sweet moments at this wedding reception.

Jasmine & Sean’s engagement photos

One of our favorite things to see at our clients’ weddings are the photos we took with them at their engagement shoot printed out on display.

It’s always so heart-warming to see our work in person and especially seeing it at their wedding just makes everything come full circle.

The Cake Cutting

The cake cutting and wine sharing were delightful moments that added to the joyous atmosphere of the reception.

Couples Photos

This is the time of the wedding day where the couple gets to escape the hustle and bustle of the day and just enjoy some time together. This is where you get to relish in the moment and just enjoy the wedding day.

We love capturing this time. We call it the post wedding glow.
